Since 1957, Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee has provided assistance to Middle Tennessee residents with barriers to employment. From its inception, Goodwill has empowered local residents with disabilities and other work barriers with the independence found in having a job. In 2006 Goodwill served 5117 people and placed 1626 in jobs in the community – and that number continues to grow, thanks to your generous donations.

Through the sale of donated items, Goodwill provides job training and job placement for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

When you give to Goodwill, you give more than you know.  You’re not just giving a lamp or a dress or a lunchbox.  You’re giving something that will be sold in our stores to pay for job training for people who might otherwise be unable to work.  You’re giving people work and something more: You’re giving purpose, dignity and hope.
