“I just have to be doing something,” Theresa says. And that’s evident when you watch Theresa diligently sorting and grading clothes. “I work until the bell rings,” she says. “I notice sometimes people are staring at me. ‘How she do that?’ It’s inspiring. I feel good about inspiring people.” There’s plenty about Theresa that’s inspiring. Losing her hand to a fire as a child has never slowed her. She’s raised three children on her own and is saving for her daughter to go to college.
“I have no handicap,” she says matter-of-factly. “And when folks see how I work, they don’t think I do either.” |
